Common Sense On A Roll

 Go Local
Back to Full Blog

With the Presidential Race boiling down to a contest between a liberal Republican and probably a communist Democrat, I think it is time to start focusing on local and stated races. We really need to load the Congress with conservatives.

God bless.

MR.P: HELLO. Methinks your above claims on BOTH mentioned alternative 'choices' MAY be a WEE bit STRETCHED? GRIN.

Methinks, if my OLD '56' year old, FEEBLE brain recalls, that for six years, we HAD loaded the Congress with conservatives? Correct, my friend?

So, with that premise true and accurate, factually, I MOST kindly and MOST sincerely do ask of you, "HOW WELL do you think the PAST conservative bunch did?"

Are YOU happy with the RECORD budget deficits accrued the first six years during conservative control?

Are YOU happy with the RECORD CORRUPTIONS that occurred during those very same six years? Many went to PRISON. Some left or were REMOVED from ELECTED offices during that time.

Methinks that is NOT what "I", IF I were a CONSERVATIVE, would be touting loudly about, if at all? SIGH. That would be what this, DUMB old geezer would call a, "Let's NOT go there" advertising slogan. WINK?

Here's MY view, kind soul. The SAME questions this INDEPENDENT thinker and VOTER asks BOTH sides of the debate:

IF YOUR side of this FUN group is SO darned GOOD at what they DO WHEN it's THEIR turn in the barrel, so to speak, then WHY, kind soul, do OVER 70% of the COUNTRY say that, ''THEY are NOT happy with the DIRECTION this country is GOING in?''

Would you be so kind as to take an HONEST whack at answering that?

Before you JUMP in, I MOST humbly ask you to take a few minutes and think about that question, first.

For, the last time I looked, being INDEPENDENT, I don't think EITHER party has 70% of the VOTERS in THEIR party registered. Agreed?

SO, IF that IS true fact, then HOW can it BE, my friend, that ALL those 70% are UNHAPPY folks???

Kind of what they call a connundrum, methinks? SMILE

BLESSINGS to you and yours,

My BEST always ....

Pockets,
I mean conservatives in the true sense of the word. These idiot Republicans masquerading up in Washington have spent money like drunken sailors in Ms. Kitty's House of Pleasure. I refer not to members of political parties so much as men and women who are not so convinced that the government is the savior of the world.

God bless!

MR.P: HELLO, again.

Methinks 'conservative' and 'liberal' as WORDS themselves, BOTH have their GOOD and BAD points if left to their TRUE DEFINITIONS.

Are ya' saying to this old man, kind soul, that MOST of the 'conservatives', or those who 'claimed' to be such while running and being elected for political office, in the past, were NOT such?

Do you mean to say, THEY LIED to WE THE PEOPLE, to BEGIN with? By NOT being what they CLAIMED to be? WINK.

A pox on BOTH political parties, from THIS old man's views, kind soul!

NEITHER, to MY simpleton thinking and viewings, has DESERVED the RIGHT to be called AMERICA's REPRESENTATIVES!

SIGH.

Blessings to you and yours, kind soul.

My BEST always,

TallPockets.

Yessir Mr. Pockets, It seems we are pretty much bent over with our wrists tied to our ankles taking it hard from both the left and the right.
