Common Sense On A Roll

 The Tearful Mrs. Clinton
Back to Full Blog

Mrs. Clinton got teary-eyed in front of the cameras the day before the New Hampshire primary. I don't know about you, but she reminded me of my daughter when she cries crocodile tears to try to get her way. Pathetic.

God bless.

MR.P.:HELLO.

I can't say for CERTAIN whether she cried on 'cue' or it was genuine?

I guess, to dumb old me, what's that say about today's view of MANY citizens on their prospective candidates???

SADLY, to MY simpleton thinking, MOST all candidates put on an ACT and a REHEARSED speech and Questions & Answer sessions. TRAINED by their HANDLERS over and over again.

Like Pavlov's dogs barking/salivating at the sound of the door bell ringing and the conditioned response of FOOD.

Even MORE sadly, we, the 'dog' voting citizens, are ALSO OFTEN TRICKED by said doorbell sounds from politicians and go way with NO FOOD.

Just MY simpleton thoughts,

My BEST to you and yours,

TallPockets.

Mr. P,

Tall Pockets reminded me of a saying I heard when I moved here. A man called another man a "yellow dog democrat".

I had never heard that one so I asked what he meant and he explained ... "That man would vote for a democrat even if a yellow dog were running on the ticket."

I love the sayings they have in the South.

Hugggggggggggggggggggz,
Taylor

KK: HELLO. I, too, love the southern sayings. They can insult the dickens outta' someone, at times, and it comes out SO nice and charming that ya' don't even realize it. WINK.

I LOVE ALL of AMERICA!

Someday, it is my greatest hope we LOSE the REGIONAL 'labels' and call ourselves simply the UNITED STATES.

I've known GOOD and BAD from ALL areas and ALL 50 states.

My BEST to you and yours.

From an OLD DOG,(WINK)

Ron,
I find myself a man without a candidate. I can't support Clinton or Obama or McCain. I liked Huckabee, but he seems to simply be running for McCain's VP. I settled on Romney in the primary, but it looks as though he's pretty much through. Seems as though the Reps are becoming Dems and the Dems have fallen off the log. What's a Conservative to do?

God bless.

Mr. P.

I think conservatives can always pray.

Second, I have great faith in the Sovereign God of the universe than I do in whoever sits in the White House.

Third, I trust God not men or women.

Psalm 33:16-21

16 No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.

17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.

18 But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,

19 to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.

20 We wait in hope for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.

21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.

Ron,
How true! I believe that America has been an instrument in the hands of a mighty God. She needs prayer now, maybe more than she ever has.

God bless.
