We just made it through the Iowa caucus. I think it would be much better if the primaries were held around July, and all on the same day. I know it would put a damper on the news media and their speculations and whatnot, but honestly, do we really care? I think that the months of August, September, and October present plenty of time for the nominees to communicate their messages going into the November general elections. Maybe I'm just tired of these people already.
God bless.
I think the ad companies and the media companies would balk at shorteningit - they make tooo much money off this!!

Yeah, I'm not into it, but then again I never have been. I'm probably more now than I've been in a long time.
I don't dislike Hillary....I think she's a smart woman and I like smart women......I just don't agree with her on most stuff and I feel that she was deceitful (aren't they all?) when she ran for the Senate up here and swore up and down that she was NOT running for President. Liah. I hate that.
Having said that, I'm not sure who I do like. Rudy? ehnnnn (how do you write that sound?). Romney? Nah. Huckabee is interesting, but I'm not sure yet. Obama? No. I would love to see a woman and/or African-American in office but I just don't know if it's viable at the moment and I also don't think Obama has enough experience.
Like I said though, it'll be interesting!
Still and yet, I think you would make a viable option. The only problemo is that I don't think we can fitcher bony butt (shoo, there's that word BUTT again) into one of those boxes they call political par-taaaaays. We'll have to come up with a new party just for YOU!
God bless.
This old geezer AGREES with your above assessment.
The run for office, these days, seems to me, more like a BAD DATE that goes on FOREVER and becomes VERY EXPENSIVE.
I'd like to see a REGIONAL primary system. With PUBLIC financing to EQUALIZE ALL folks seeking office.
Divide the country into FOUR regions. North, South, East, West. Have specified dates for EACH REGION.
That way, the candidates could have time to show up in EACH region and concentrate on it, as could the prospective voters.
To me, this would be a better system than having ONE, SAME DATE primary for all 50 states.
Just this old man's thoughts and views.
THANKS for allowing me to voice them in your wonderful site.
My BEST to you and yours,
TallPockets.
Haven't been seeing you over at the Q-stream. Hope everything is okay in my favorite Peach State.
