Maybe the better solution would be for us to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OURSELVES AND OUR FAMILIES AND PRIORITIZE WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT IN OUR LIVES AND FOREGO THE IPOD AND THE NEW EXCURSION AND USE A REGULAR PHONE AND DRIVE A TEMPO AND MAKE SURE OUR KIDS HAVE WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT IN THEIR LIVES, WHICH WOULD BE CLOTHING, A ROOF OVER THEIR HEADS, FOOD IN THEIR BELLY, AND A MOM AND DAD, YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT, A MOM AND DAD, AT HOME WHO LOVES THEM AND WILL DIE IF NECESSARY TO PROTECT THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if Michael Vick is guilty or innocent. That is for a jury to decide. I do know that the cruelty that dogs are put through for the purposes of fighting is atrocious. It is one thing for a dog to be trained to protect lives and property, it's another altogether to train them to simply be killing machines for the sake of sport and gambling. The same can be said for cock fighting. That being said, let's get down to the true source of this behavior. We have cheapened life. We no longer cherish life. Forty million children have been murdered legally in this country since 1973, and yet we don't bat an eye. We celebrate this holocaust as "choice". Picking between fries or a baked potato at Wendy's is a choice. Ending the life of another human being for perceived personal gain is murder. Rape and incest are horrible sins that can't be ignored, but the vast number of children who are killed in utero are conceived consensually. They are the victims of the selfishness of their parents. I had a friend who told me of a woman who killed her newborn baby in the microwave oven. She is being charged with murder of course. My question is why? How can you charge her? She was only tardy in making her "choice". She could have done the same thing by a different method with the same result and been lauded as a heroine by NARAL and NOW. How can a person not be considered human? Is this not the same lunacy that led to the 3/5 Compromise before the Civil War? A slave was only considered as 3/5 human. Being less than human allowed the slaveowner to do whatever he wanted to the slave. After all, who has the right to tell him what to do with what is legally his? What in Hell (meant literally) brings about logic like this? This same hellish logic is now applied in the case of the unborn child. We refuse to call the unborn child a person. We label him a fetus or "the product of conception". Jeremiah 1:5 states, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart...". Almighty God has no problem crediting personhood to the unborn child. Our arrogance in this matter is a stench in the nostrils of an angry God. We have sowed death and are reaping the same. Abortion is considered a womens rights issue, and yet the majority of children murdered for "choice" are female. How can this be? How can this be a womens rights issue when over 20 million future women have been denied the very right to life, much less their other rights? We wonder why we are in a struggle for the very survival of our nation. Our sin has found us out and it is destroying us.

I flipped over to the Weather Channel yesterday and noticed how the weather girl Stephanie Abrams was nearly ecstatic that they finally had a hurricane out there that they could terrify us with. I mean honestly, living in Southwest Georgia, I am very familiar with the do's and don'ts of hurricane season. My neighbors in the Florida panhandle go through at least one every year. What's up with all the sensationalism? Just give us the facts, ma'am! I need direction. I need windspeed. I need rainfall projections. What I don't need is drama!

In the Bible, God calls Israel the apple of his eye. A special place rests in the heart of God for the Jewish people. Throughout history, the children of Israel have suffered intense persecution at the hands of the world. This intense hatred of God's people has become epidemic within the Islamic world and is once again making inroads into Europe. The United States has found itself in the crosshairs of jihad due to its support of the Jewish state. Unfortunately, many among us would call for the abandonment of Israel for the sake of peace. What we haven't yet realized is that it is a peace that will not come. We need to stand beside Israel in her struggle against radical Islamic terror. We must find the moral courage to look evil directly in the eyes and call it what it is. It is the truth that sets us free. Sadly, we are too dependent on oil flowing from the nations that would see Israel destroyed and us with her. We capitulate to our enemies and forsake our friends for the oil to lubricate our economy. Instead we should be agressively pursuing other forms of energy, while at the same time utilizing our own oil resources in Alaska, Colorado, and the Gulf of Mexico. We must remove the Islamic noose we have around our necks. We cannot fight a global war on terror if we continue to fill the coffers of our enemies. We cannot win a war on terror if we hamstring our only ally in the Middle East over a peace process that will not bring peace, but the onslaught of Armageddon. We must bless Israel without reserve. It is written in reference to the children of Abraham, "Whoever blesses you, I will bless, and whoever curses you, him will I curse." We must support Israel. We must be recipients of the blessings of God, not the object of His wrath. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
