Common Sense On A Roll

 African Children

I just heard a report on CBS news about a young African girl who was flown to Chicago to have cataract surgery. She and lots of children like her are suffering blindness due to disease carried by mosquitos.
I notice two things in this story. First, this child shouldn't be blind. DDT, used properly, is safe and highly effective in controlling the mosquitos that carry debilitating disease, yet we penalize poor nations that use it to save lives. This shouldn't be so. I also noticed that this young girl was flown to the United States for her surgery. Notice that she didn't go to any nation that has government run healthcare. She would still be on a waiting list there.

God bless.

A horse is a horse, of course

I took the above photo a few days ago. I showed it to my son. He had no problem telling me what he saw. "It's a horsey, daddy," he said. My son is only two years old. The horse in this picture is in fact a fetus in the sixth month of gestation. She died in an unfortunate miscarriage. The normal gestation period for a horse is 11 months. You will notice that the filly though hairless, is fully formed and unmistakably equine. Now any sane person would not argue over the horsehood of this creature. Unfortunately, there are many out there who do just that when it comes to babies at this point in development. Is this why pro-abortion forces fight tooth and nail to prevent women in abortion clinics from seeing the ultrasounds of their unborn? Is it fear that they may very well see the humanity and vulnerability of the life about to be destroyed?

God bless.

 Russert Under Fire

Can you believe the nerve of that Tim Russert? What was he thinking actually asking Hillary Clinton a legitimate question? By golly, she'll have his head for this!

 The Fool

The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." I have read some blogs in which the existence of God has been vehemently denied. The writers have constantly and viciously attacked those who believe as deranged, or stupid, and misinformed, or blatantly evil. If God is non-existent, then what is the problem? Why do you attack and belittle? Is it fear? Is it because there is the possibility that you are wrong? And if you are, what are the repercussions? If God doesn't exist, yet I believe he does and I die, what have I lost? Nothing. If he does exist and you believe he doesn't and you die, what have you lost? Everything. God does exist, and he does reward those who seek him.

God bless.

 Premature balding

I am ready to propose that premature balding has become a problem for many men. It is a national, no international, crisis. Premature balding puts men at a serious disadvantage when it comes to finding a mate. The reason for this current crisis is clearly evident. The blame for premature balding can be placed directly at the feet of, yep you guessed it, global warming. Apparently, the drastic change in global temperature of .08 degrees has caused the male scalp to boil, therefore resulting in the loss of cranium hair in an attempt at cooling the scalp. Not only is global warming killing all known life on earth but it is seriously cramping the style of many men. We must demand that our government do something, anything, whether it works or not, whether it puts people out of work or not, whether it is stupid or not, to solve this issue. Please call your Congressman, the President, Al Gore, or whoever else has his head up his posterior and demand that action be taken now! The courtship of the female must continue!
