Common Sense On A Roll

 Surge

Mr. Obama visited Iraq. I just find it interesting that the surge that wouldn't work actually ensured his safe visit. Ironic isn't it?

 Invisible Taxes

There is a debate in Congress today proposed by Democrats to tax the "windfall profits" of oil companies. What the people on Capitol Hill seem to have forgotten is that corporations DO NOT pay taxes. Any additional taxes levied on oil companies will simply be passed down to the consumer in even higher prices. For all the talk of helping the middle class, every policy these people implement ends up penalizing the middle class in higher prices at the store. Just more invisible taxes!

 Energy Independence

I was just wondering why in the world we will not explore for and utilize our own energy sources? Am I the only one out there who finds it embarrassing that the President of the United States has to go play lap monkey to the crown prince of Saudi Arabia? Any thoughts?

 Go Local

With the Presidential Race boiling down to a contest between a liberal Republican and probably a communist Democrat, I think it is time to start focusing on local and stated races. We really need to load the Congress with conservatives.

God bless.

 Mr. McCain

It appears as though John McCain will be the Republican nominee for President of the United States. Unfortunately, I see Mr. McCain as being only slightly less liberal in his policies as his Democratic counterparts. This really concerns me in the areas of border security and fiscal policy. We cannot afford to not secure the borders of the nation, nor can we afford the suggested spending on healthcare and climate change. We simply cannot bankrupt our nation further on social policies and erroneous science.

God bless.
